FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE UPDATE PLUNJ GREENSBOROUGH - NIK CYON PLAYING 6:00 - 6:45

Nik began DJ'n when he was at uni in the 90's, mainly for friends at parties. The sounds he played were (and still are) classified as Progressive, Deep House, as well as Tech House. Nik always try to keep the mixes balanced, in the sense of keeping them interesting while at the same time being conscious that people want to dance. He moved into production in the late 90's, and produce mainly electronic music from a home based studio. He has also been involved in producing and recording projects for small theatre as well as helping local musicians and artists record their own material.
Nik is currently working on a 'collage' project for which he is compiling various styles and genres that he have recorded over the past five years. Nik hope to release it later this year. It is fundamentally dance/electronic oriented, while at the same time incorporating interesting elements which are not obviously associated with dance music.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE UPDATE PLUNJ GREENSBOROUGH - HARLEY GREY PLAYING 6:45 - 7:30

Harley Gray was inspired to get into dance music around 2000 when he was first exposed to a blend of progressive, trance and a bit of goa.
Fortunately Harley got into it early so he can recognise the cheese when he heard it! For Harley to include a track in his sets it has to have meaning - it could be an emotion it makes you feel, or simply mind-numbingly-rocking beats that make you need to dance.
As for his experience DJ'n, he worked for a mobile DJ crew from 2005-2008 doing birthdays, weddings, functions etc to get a feel for it.
Since then he been accumulating music and gear for my studio at home... practicing diligently and waiting for opportunities like this to come around!
Harley has also been doing a course at the DJ's united mixing school for the past few months to learn some tricks and different ways to get creative with my own mixes.
At home he use serato paired up with turntables and a xone-22 mixer.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE UPDATE PLUNJ GREENSBOROUGH - TIM FITZPATRICK PLAYING 7:30 - 8:15

In 2006 as a 15 year old, Tim Fitzpatrick started off his career as a DJ playing on a old set of decks in his garage and doing mobile DJ gigs. With already 3 years experience playing the Saxophone, Tim had a firm grasp of music concepts and picked up the art of DJ'n quite quickly by listening to podcasts from Dave Spoon and Pete Tong on Radio One in the UK. Tim's first club gig came in 2009, playing in the front room of Seven nightclub on a Thursday after seeing a advertisement on Facebook looking for DJs in Year 12 at the time.

Although it went well, Tim did not play any other club gigs until he was on Schoolies, where he DJ'd at the Gold Coast leg of the Unlucky Thursdays Schoolies Tour. His set was a hit, and shortly after arriving back home was chosen to be a weekly resident at Unlucky Thursdays at Seven.

Into 2010, this young DJ is slowly rising up the ranks with his weekly residency continuing at Unlucky Thursdays at Seven, and now is also involved with After Dark Social Club at Roxanne Parlour. He has also developed his mobile DJ'n into a fully functional business, and is constantly trying to achieve a perfect balance between doing club DJ'n and mobile DJ'n. Tim has supported artists such as the Stafford Brothers, Ajax, Yolanda Be Cool, Tommy Trash, Chardy, Jamie Doom, Knightlife, Andy Murphy, Nick Foley, Kris Baha, and many more. Tim's mobile DJing background has allowed him to be open and flexbile with his DJ sets, from playing light, funky house to harder electronic music, to the big room sounds of Axwell and friends. As a DJ, he is constantly influenced by the works of Riva Starr, Round Table Knights, Renaissance Man, David Keno, Armand Van Helden, Avicii, Axwell, and Steve Angello.

In the future Tim would like to go into production, but for now alot is unknown for Tim so he is just enjoying his DJ'n and seeing how far it takes him. However one thing is for certain; bigger things are in store for this bright young DJ of the Melbourne dance music scene.
